A's Skid Again
SPOKANE, June 7 - Sloppy defence work resulted in three errors as the Spokane Indians used them to defeat the Victoria Athletics 4-1 in a Western International League game here Saturday.
Frank Lucchesi led off with a double and scored to give the Athletics a first-inning lead, but the Indians tied it in the same frame and went ahead in the fourth when they loaded the bags and scored two runs on as many infield outs without a play being made at the plate.
Buddy Hicks led the Indians with three hits, including a double.
