Donnan Homer Sparks Indians
SPOKANE, June 5 - Doug Donnan connected for a two-run homer in the seventh inning to give Spokane a 7-5 win over the Tacoma Tigers in Western International League baseball Thursday night.
It happened in what was supposed to be a seven-inning opener of a double-header. The second game was rained out.
Tacoma moved to an early lead with a four-run burst in the first inning on Earl Kuper's two-run double followed by Dick Greco's homer.
Spokane nibbled away at the margin with a three-run bite in the second and single tallies in the third and sith to set the stage for Donnan's blow.
