VANCOUVER, May 10 — With a five-run lead in the fourth inning, the Vancouver Capilanos coasted to an 11-4 victory over the Wenatchee Chiefs here tonight, in the second game of a double-header.
Cap pitcher Sandy Robertson at all times had the game under control, aided by the four-run batting of Frank Mullens, including a homer. For the Chietains, Nick Pesut, Bob Williams and Lee Winter rapped out three homers.
In the openers, the cellar-dwelling Chiefs swamped the Caps 11-5.

VICTORIA, May 10 — The Victoria Athletics came back from a six-run, first inning deficit to defeat the Spokane Indians 12-8 in the first of two games Friday at Royal Athletic Park. They swept the double-header with a 16-3 thrashing in the night contest.
Jim Gibson gave up all six runs in a third of an inning before Bill Prior came in to stop the Indians.
The A's took the lead in the seventh inning with four runs, with Bill White's bases-loaded single being the key hit.
In the nightcap, the Athletics bashed 19 hits and scored in every inning but one.
Babe Jensen hit for the cycle and drove in six runs, Vic Mastro smacked out four bingles in as many trips and White doubled on his first three trips.
Bill Woop had a typical outing for Victoria, allowing four scratch hits and striking out 13, but walking a dozen batters.

TACOMA, May 10 — The Salem Senators won the game but lost a ballplayer tonight ina 9-7 triumph against the Tacoma Tigers.
Outfielder Lou Kubiak broke his hip in a collision with shortstop Carl Peterson as the two chased a pop fly.

New Southpaw to Join A's
Victoria's pitching staff received further strength yesterday when a telegram from Joe Devine, New York Yankees scout, revealed Ray Fortier, 21-year-old southpaw, had been optioned to Victoria by the Sane Diego Padres.
Fortier is playing his first season in organized ball but has been pitching in fast semi-pro company in California.
To make room for him on the roster, the Athletics have sent Bill Rothrock to Ventura of the California League.
