TACOMA, Wash., May 9 - "Lefty" Wandell Mossor limited Tacoma to seven well-spaced hits here tonight as the Salem Senators banged out a 9-1 victory over the Tacoma Tigers in a Western International League series opener.
The lone damaging blow off the Salem southpaw was Dick Greco's sixth inning homer, his second in as many nights.

VICTORIA - The Spokane Indians scored four times in the third and seventh innings on their way to an 11-6 victory over the Victoria Athletics tonight and sole possession of first place in the Western International League.
Victoria committed six crucial errrors.
Dick Mitchell gave up six unearned runs in the first six innings, including a 5-5 tiebreaker in the sixth on Leo Righetti's two-out error.
Errors by Vic Mastro, Babe Jensen and Mike Hafenecker played a large part in the Spokane uprising in the seventh and Jack Harshman's bobble accounted for the final tally in the ninth.
Bill White, who ran his string of successive hits by singling the first two runs of the game after hitting safely in his last five trips in Thursday night's game, led the Athletics at the plate with three hits in four trips.
Scarpelli picked up three of the winner's 11 safeties.

VANCOUVER, May 9 - Wenatchee Chiefs, hitting the ball solidly in the pinches, chased the Vancouver Capilanos out of the front spot in the Western International League race tonight with an 11-8 victory.
The Vancouver club banged out 17 hits from the offerings of Bob Condon, but aside from a shaky third inning, the Wenatchee moundsman kept the game well under control and whiffed three Caps.

BREMERTON, May 9 - Manager Harlond Clift's three-run homer in the ninth inning gave the Yakima Stars a 6-5 victory over Bremerton tonight in their Western International League series opener.
The visitors were trailing by two runs when Clift stepped up and hit one for the circuit with one away, driving in two mates ahead of him.
