Lowman, Maul, Aid Jackets
VANCOUVER - A duo of mischievious Bremerton Bluejackets set off a heap of fireworks under the Vancouver Capilanos Tuesday night to give the Tars an 11-3 Western International League thumping.
Jim Lowman scattered seven hits while knocking a homer over the left field wall, as well as two singles.
Al Maul added the cause with a four-bagger, three singles and three runs batted in.
Vancouver starter Bob Snyder was in trouble in the first innning, but the winners had help from the Caps' infield. Buddy Hjelmaa had three of the team's six miscues.

Tigers Tie Series With Thrilling Win
VICTORIA - Victoria Athletics found Mitch Chetkovich, Tacoma righthander, for two home runs, as many triples, four doubles and six singles and made four double plays behind Lenny Kasparovitch - but ended up on the short end of an 8-7 count. The Tigers evened the three game series with the A's tonight at a game apiece.
Bob Joratz's two-run single in the third made up for Victoria runs in the first and third. The A's went ahead in the fourth when John Cavalli lined his first home run over the fence and added a notch to their lead in the fifth when Jack Harshman led off with his ninth circuit clout.
But Kasparovitch was reached for four straight singles by Bob Hedington, Earl Kuper, Glenn Stetter and Dick Greco in the sixth and the Tigers pushed across four runs.
Greco's high fly fell over the centre field fence to score a pair in the eighth and the runs proved to be the winners.
Victoria got two back intheir half with Cavalli doubling one run and Kuper giving on away when he threw the ball into centre field while trying to return it to the mound.
With two out in the ninth, Pat Patterson crashed out a double and Babe Jensen singled him home. White singled, and Cy Greenlaw was brought in to face Mike Hafenecker, who fanned on three straight pitches to end the game.
