Bill Barisoff Again Smashes Payoff Blow
VANCOUVER, May 21 - The booming bat of Bill Barisoff once more spelled doom for Vancouver Capilanos as the league-leading Bremerton Bluejackets defeated the Caps 3-2 in an 11-inning Western International baseball game here tonight to sweep a three-game series.
Bremerton rang up their first run in the seventh when Bill Reese doubled and Barisoff drove him home on a triple off the left field wall. In the eighth, Vancouver tied the game on pitcher Sandy Robertson's 340-foot homer.
In the top of the 11th, Al Maul singled and Barisoff punched out a payoff homer over the left field fence for the winning runs. The fifth homer for last year's W.I.L. home-run king, Barisoff's circuit smashes have proved the winning blow in as many games.
In the last half of the 11th, Vancouver's Frank Mullens made the score 3-2 on the game's third four-base smash.

Tacomans Plaster A's
VICTORIA - Carl Shapley tossed a five hitter to lead the Tacoma Tigers to a 12-1 win over the Victoria Athletics in taking the deciding game of a three game Western International League series.
Victoria's only run was a gift when Dick Greco lost Babe Jensen's high fly in the lights and it landed for a triple.
Four runs in the first inning sewed it up for the Tigers, with Greco's two-run circuit clout the big blow. Dick Mitchell lasted 2-3rds of an inning and was charged with all four runs.
Guy Miller, playing himself into shape after joining the Tigers a few days ago from the services, also clouted one out of the park.
